Huckepack Operating Principle

A small amount of sealant from an external reservoir is continuously metered into the pump cavity for vacuum sealing and lubrication. The sealant washes the internal surfaces, preventing contaminate buildup. It is then discharged with the process vapor into the exhaust system, where it is separated and removed.

No Water Pollution - Water is completely isolated from process vapors.

Sealants - A wide selection of sealing fluids are available, plus flow rates can be adjusted to provide constant flush - especially useful for corrosive applications.

Once-Through-Sealing - Fresh, clean, sealant fluid continuously washes internal surfaces preventing contaminate buildup.

Gas Ballast - Composition of process vapors can be altered in the pump for more control of vapor discharge characteristics.

Sleevable Cylinders - For easy replacement, if needed.

Sealed Bearings - Greased bearings are isolated to prevent contact with process vapors.

Temperature Control - With water cooling, operating temperature can be varied to give better process control. Pumps are available with radiator or direct water cooling.

Save Energy - Busch pumps use much less energy than steam jets and liquid ring pumps.
